In this clip, Rodolfo Gerst (@rodolfogerstl) is approaching Angel Falls, one of the seven wonders of the world, in the Venezuelan rainforest. Its surroundings are being destroyed by the authoritarian Venezuelan regime, given mining concessions to China and other predatory countries to extract Gold (with Mercury) and Coltan, among other minerals found in these fragile ecosystems. Their motto is: Money First and Fuck the Planet.

 

In this clip, I inserted the sound of a brass drum as I thought of a boy playing with his tin helicopter dreaming of a world beyond his imagination. As far away as it seems, this is a real place existing beyond our imagination being abruptly kidnaped by real beasts and real monsters.
