For the Biennial Barro de América, at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Sofía Ímber de Caracas, I installed fossils dug from Falcón State, Venezuela, provided by a paleobiology institution. Featuring real fossils from between six to twelve million years BC, along with recorded photographs of the excavation, the displacement of these pieces deprived them of their geological importance, as they were perceived as replicas made by the artist—and their information, a wisecrack.
